Today’s Astronomical Events – September 14th, 2014

The waning gibbous Moon appears south of M45, the Pleiades open star cluster. The cluster appears as the tiny grouping of stars close to the Moon and is well worth a look through binoculars. The orange star Aldebaran marks the eye of Taurus the Bull.
