The Early Morning Moon Compliments Lovely Venus

December 7th, 2015

The waning crescent Moon passes lovely Venus in the pre-dawn twilight of the 7th. With Mars, Jupiter and the bright star Spica also nearby, this is a particularly nice sight as Earthshine can also be seen to illuminate the darkened surface of the Moon. This will be the Moon’s last encounter with Venus for 2015!
