The Crescent Moon Taunts Taurus the Bull

 

March 13th, 2016

The waxing crescent Moon continues its climb away from the Sun and traverses further into Taurus. Tonight it appears close to the Pleiades star cluster and will pass by the V-shaped Haydes over the next twenty-four hours. Come back tomorrow to catch it on the other side of Aldebaran.

Asteroid 4 Vesta leaves Pisces and returns to Cetus. (Magnitude 7.9, evening sky.)
